As we bid farwell to June in a week, we look back on the things you have brought to us these past couple of weeks.
1) Much needed Rest. As Daniel and I got off of the honeymoon, I came down with a "the sickness" (to quote a song!). I was out of commission (what commission I am not sure) for two weeks. Just to find out I have an abnormal Thyroid. YAY FOR MORE MEDICINE! NOT! I am doing much much better now.
2) Birthday Birthday Birthday! We were blessed to celebrate many birthday's this month: My Grandmother, Mom, Dad, Mom and Dad's Anniversary, Daniel, Rick, Monica, Uncle Mike C, Andy, Andy's twins, and mine. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL THE JUNE BABIES!
3)Many Deaths. On a sadder note, there has been many deaths this month.
My dad's cousin past away on Father's Day. He had been battling cancer for some time now. I am happy that is in a place of no pain!
On the very next day, my birthday, my dad's mom, my grandmother, past away. She was 85 years old! It was a shock to all of us. She had been declining for a while, but we were not expecting her to leave us this soon. Daniel and I were suppose to visit her the day that she died. I miss her so much, but I am glad she is in a better place.
Ed McMahon will always be the Star Search man to me! I was reading an article about him saying that is known as, "The Greatest Sidekick."
Farrah Fawcett passes away after a long battle with cancer. I have seen many people battle Colon/Anal Cancer over the past few years, and let me tell you it is a battle and a half. If Colon Cancer is caught at the early stages, a patient can walk away from it! Please research the signs of Colon Cancer, and get yourself checked! It's not the best thing in the world to do, but IT SAVES LIVES!
Michael Jackson, a.k.a. The King of Pop, passes away today suddenly! I use to take dance growing up, and it never failed that we would do a dance to one of his songs! No matter what he did in his personal life, he was an amazing performer! I grew up listening to his music!
4) Good Grades Daniel took his first test of Graduate school and recieved an "A" Congrats to Daniel.
5) Softball to Face. My brother Jeff was playing a softball game, and got hit in the face with a softball. He broke his cheeck bone. So we had to go to the ER and of course we cracked jokes while we were waiting. Here are the ones we came up with: "Jeff wanted to be half Chinese" "Jeff became an air head when he blew his nose and half of his face swelled up" "The lady at the ER window asks, "Can I help you?" Jeff replies, "Yea, half of my face shrunk." "Come on Popeye." "Stop winking at me." "You can't play tag with a softball and expect to walk away with nothing." "You are suppose to use your glove, not your face." "Halloween is still 4 months away Jeff, you can't be blowfish just yet!"
6) Misc Non-Sense. I bought some Yellow Box Flip Flops! THEY ARE SOO COMFORTABLE! We have driven the Jeep Liberty for 2,000 miles this month alone! I think that we are going to invest in Fram Stock. My dentist appointment was recheduled twice in one week! How crazy right.
So, June, we love you so much! Thanks for the many memories...... I think.
